Is Prayer Important?

It’s here…times in America that we never thought we would face.  The assaults on every freedom America has ever stood for…the exalting of every form of wickedness as the new righteousness….wide-spread corruption on every level of society and government…a staggering national debt to our worst enemies beyond what we could ever repay…the multiplication of powerful and hateful enemy nations seeking our destruction… 
    …and the wide-spread slumber and distraction of the Church in this dark hour.

 

Jesus compared the times surrounding His return to the days of Noah.  However, Jesus’ comparison didn’t emphasize the wickedness of the two times….as much as it did the “business as usual” attitude associated with both – a failure of the people to recognize the times they were facing!

 

Does the Church see the hour we are facing…or are we too busy with “business as usual”?  Are the things that we fill our lives with a part of God’s will for us in this crucial hour?

 

I believe God is calling His people, cross-denominationally, to unity in prayer!  Isn’t it about time we gather together to call on His name?  These two things – unity and prayer – are generally the two things that are the lowest priority among believers!  It’s time to wake up and humbly
